Question raised regarding UGC (Institutions Deemed to be Universities) Regulations, 2016

As per UGC (Institutions Deemed to be Universities) Regulations, 2016, institution Deemed to be University –

  • shall not charge any fee for an admission test other than an amount representing the reasonable cost incurred by it in conducting such test.
  • shall not engage in commercialization of education in any manner whatsoever, and
  • shall provide for equity and access to all deserving students.

This information was given by the Minister of State (HRD), Dr. Satya Pal Singh on 19 March,2018  in a written reply to a Lok Sabha question.
