Report – “The Laws Relating to Fantasy Sports Games in India” released

The Indian Federation of Sports Gaming (IFSG),  hosted its half-day long  ‘Game Plan’ in The Trident Hotel, Mumbai on 22 February,2018. The event had discussions and deliberations upon various aspects of the online Sports Gaming industry in India.

Harsh Jain, Chairman of IFSG and CEO & Co-founder of Dream11, Nandan Kamath, Principal Lawyer at LawNK  & Researcher at Sports Law & Policy Centre (SLPC) and Ranjan Chatterjee, former Chief Secretary of Meghalaya & former Member of NGT released the report titled ‘The Laws Relating to Fantasy Sports Games in India’ during the event. The Report aims to present the state of the law relating to online fantasy sports gaming.

The Report of more than 50 pages may be considered significant as India is still developing law to regulate online games.
